Our biggest blueberry farm, Gourmet Blueberries Ltd was established in 2000 and is located in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay. The area’s light soils and hot dry climate combined with innovative growing techniques helps us in our pursuit of achieving the best tasting blueberries. Our active blueberry breeding program with the University of Florida and University of Georgia helps with continuous improvement of fruit size, flavour and time of harvest to better match market requirements.

We have the entire crop enclosed with a netting structure, helping to provide protection from birds, wind and adverse weather. A 12ha greenhouse is currently being built to further increase production in the off season.

In 2018 Gourmet Blueberries Ltd opened a Blueberry Glasshouse at South Head, West Auckland to help facilitate year round fresh blueberry production. The glasshouse is 2.7ha and has its own onsite packing facilities.
